Lazy Susan Mushroom Risotto Kit


Lazy Susan lovers, take a master class and learn how to cook a delicious risotto from one of the best – Simon Gault!

Serves 6 – 8 people.

NB. This recipe has a shopping list of ingredients that must be purchased separately to make Simon’s dish.



1 x Carnaroli Risotto Rice – 2 cups. The risotto rice par excellence, Carnaroli is a thick and pearly white rice that has great absorption without losing a great amount of starch during cooking. The result is a consistent texture with a creamy mouthfeel, making for flavourful and creamy risottos every time.

1 x Santagata Extra Virgin Olive Oil -250ml. If you live locally to the Deli in Takanini, you can bring this bottle in for a refill!

1 x Simon Gault Vegetable Stock Concentrate – 105g. A farmers market full of veggies in every pouch is exactly what you are getting. My veggie stock is so full of real vegetables you can smell them. This Executive Chef strength stock will give your meals, gravies and sauces that extra 5% magic that turns a good meal into a great one. Now you’re cooking!

1 x Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese – wedge. The king of the hard cheeses, this parmesan can’t be beaten for flavour!.

1 x Porcini Mushroom Creme – 100g. Chopped porcini mushroom in a sauce of blended porcini mushrooms, and sunflower oil.

1 x Truffle Mushroom Paste – 55ml. A cream full of exquisite French truffle, with its typical dark colour. A cream of button mushrooms as the base for the refined flavour of the Tuber aestivum truffle.
