Packaging and Courier

Chilled and frozen items, including our premium pizza dough, are packed in insulated, ice-lined cartons and sent by overnight courier.

Possible Delays

We book the fastest service available, but courier hold-ups can occur. A delay may let the temperature rise and affect product quality.

By ordering, you accept this risk and agree to have someone ready to receive the parcel on the first delivery attempt, then refrigerate or freeze the contents straight away.

Deliveries Outside Auckland

Addresses beyond Auckland receive our travel-friendly dough, which stays fresh in the fridge (unopened) for up to 12 days. When you are ready to use it, halve each piece, roll into balls, and let them prove before baking.

Pizza’s are best cooked using a Pizza Stone
A pizza stone improves pizza by providing even, high heat that crisps the base and prevents sogginess. It mimics a wood-fired oven floor, resulting in a better crust and faster, more consistent cooking in any oven.

How to Prep & Cook your own Delicious Pizzas at Home:

1. Prep

  • Defrost the dough overnight in the fridge if coming out of the freezer
  • Whether chilled or thawed, dough needs to prove at room temperature until it’s soft, puffy, and easy to stretch.

2. Fire It Up

  • Conventional oven: 250°C (fan bake) – preheat for 30 mins
  • Pizza oven: 450°C – get that stone screaming hot
  • BBQ with pizza stone: Lid down, 15 minutes on high heat

3. Stretch & Build

  • Lightly dust your bench
  • Stretch out Gault’s Deli Pizza Dough into a thin base
  • Leave a thicker crust edge for that classic chew

4. Layer the Good Stuff

  • Grate a generous amount of both Grana Padano and Manchego cheeses and mix them together. (You’ll have plenty left for an extra topping later.)
  • Evenly sprinkle the cheese mixture over your dough.
  • Top with a light dusting of Gaults Blend Italian Seasoning and/or your own thyme [optional].
  • Drizzle on Pukara Estate Chilli Oil, then finish with Pukara Estate Garlic Oil.

5. Bake to Golden Goodness

  • Pizza oven (450°C): 90 seconds – 2 minutes, rotating halfway.
  • Conventional oven (250°C): 8–10 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
  • BBQ (high heat, lid closed): 4–6 minutes, checking every 30 seconds and rotating if needed.

6. Finish Strong

  • Remove from the oven, grate the aged Parmigiano Reggiano over the top and sprinkle with Italian seasoning
  • Optional: Add pineapple slices
