1. Prep
- Defrost the dough overnight in the fridge if coming out of the freezer
- Whether chilled or thawed, dough needs to prove at room temperature until it’s soft, puffy, and easy to stretch. You can read how to prove your dough here.
2. Fire It Up
- Conventional oven: 250°C (fan bake) – preheat for 30 mins
- Pizza oven: 450°C – get that stone screaming hot
- BBQ with pizza stone: Lid down, 15 minutes on high heat
3. Stretch & Build
- Lightly dust your bench
- Stretch out Gault’s Deli Pizza Dough into a thin base
- Leave a thicker crust edge for that classic chew
4. Layer the Good Stuff
- Spread a thin layer of Pizza/Pasta Sauce
- Scatter Mozzarella evenly
- Top with the bacon you have finely diced
- Optional: Add pineapple slices now, if you want them to be cooked
5. Bake to Golden Goodness
- Pizza oven (450°C): 90 seconds – 2 minutes, rotating halfway.
- Conventional oven (250°C): 8–10 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
- BBQ (high heat, lid closed): 4–6 minutes, checking every 30 seconds and rotating if needed.
6. Finish Strong
- Remove from the oven, grate the aged Parmigiano Reggiano over the top and sprinkle with Italian seasoning
- Optional: Add pineapple slices
