Zaroa NZ is a new start-up created by Master of Meats Wilhelm Zabern, a Master Butcher from Austria who has been living in New Zealand for over 30 years. Moving away from pork, the Master Crafted Artisan Meat products are made from 100% grass fed free range New Zealand beef, lamb and venison.
Description
Zaroa Artisan Meats has created a Pork Free Bacon utilizing a new breed of Te Kuiti farmed free-range lamb that is deliciously rich in flavour and fat.
Using the traditional dry-curing method they took various lamb cuts and smoked them with Pohutukawa. They then created a natural marinade using organic sea salt, vinegar, and hot smoke as a way to preserve the lamb meat. Free of artificial preservatives, they got great results. Convenient, ready to heat, ready to eat meat.

INGREDIENTS:
Lamb, Purified Water, Organic Sea Salt, Spice and Spice Extract, Vinegar, Pohutukawa Smoke.
Halal Suitable & 100% Natural Ingredients Used:
- No artificial chemical ingredients, colouring, flavours, or preservatives.
- No sodium nitrates or sodium nitrites.
- No Gluten. No Soy.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Keep refrigerated between 1-4° degrees. Unopened bacon will have a 4-week shelf life. Can be frozen for 6 months. Once opened, eat within 4 days. Store leftovers in a container not in plastic wrap.
- Cooking: Zaroa NZ Bacon is best cooked by frying in a pan for 2 minutes on each side, or until your preferred crispiness
