Pepper sauce recipe

Serves 8

Ingredients

  • ½ cup white wine
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric
  • ½ cup vegetable or chicken stock
  • 1 cup Gault’s Deli Peperonata sauce
  • ½ cup fresh cream

Reduce the white wine and turmeric by half over a high heat. Then add the chicken or vegetable stock and peperonata sauce and bring to the simmer for 3 minutes. Transfer to a blender and process until smooth. Transfer to a clean saucepan and add the cream and reduce to a sauce consistency.

Ideal with chicken, seafood, steak or used as a pasta sauce.
